♦ Elder Miller week 39 (5-15-23)

Bon tardi! Felis Dia di Mama!

Hope you all had a great week! Things here in Bonaire have been so sweet lately. We got to be a part of our little friend James' baptism at the beach this last Saturday, and it was so neat.

Oh man, I got the buzz-cut again. At the beginning of last week we pulled up to a friend's house who we were going to teach and he wasn't there but his buddy who lives there too was, and he said he knew how to cut hair. We took him up on it and he told me the highest guard he had was a 4. Definitely thought it would leave more hair. Not that big of a deal though. I wear a bike helmet all day anyway and it keeps me cool:).

We have kept seeing a great turnout at church! We have our fingers crossed that a new church building is in the works! For now though we are making it work and the branch here is just one big family anyways so it's so fun!

I was reading in the Book of 3 Nephi 16 this last week in The Book of Mormon and loved this part...
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

One thing that is so neat about the apostles and prophets of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is how they go about doing good. That's all they do! As followers of Christ we need to go about doing as He would. I know that even our smallest efforts to lift others are accounted for. I invite you to show the people around you that you follow Jesus Christ simply by your works! I am sure so many people see the things you are doing!

Have a good week! Thanks for all the love!
