♦ Elder Miller week 56 (9-11-23)

Bon siman!

Hope last week went well for each of you! It was a good one out here. Hot, but fun.

We are working with quite a few members right now that we want to help reactivate and help them receive the priesthood. It's been fun visiting with them and getting to know them a bit better. One member we went to this week went into his house and brought back out his best catch of the week....well the head of his best catch. It was huge. He had chopped off the meaty top to save and then was planning on throwing the rest of the head in a soup je wants us to try. Fingers crossed it's gone by the time we go back. We'll see.

A few different ladies in the branch fed us this past week and it was so kind of them. Makes it easy on us and we love getting to interact with them. They take good care of us missionaries.

This next week will be busy with a District conference here in our building for all the branches in the islands and just before that a missionary zone conference. By the weekend we'll have a full house staying with us.

I studied a lot about charity this past week and I loved a few bible verses on it that I'd like to share with you...
1 Corinthians 13:4-7
4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

You probably all have heard those verses before, I know I have, but always looking back over them I find ways I can improve the way I show love to others. If we aren't each consistently trying to develop more charity, we are missing out on all the blessings our Heavenly Father wants to give us. It's not easy. But it's worth it!

Keep smiling! And if school just started up for you, keep grinding! Have a great week!
