♦Elder Miller Week 68 (12-4-23)
Bon dia! Felis dianan di fiesta!
Hope everyone is well! It was a good week here! We got to be a part of a lot of good!
One day we had a scheduled lesson with a family that lives out among the cacti on a farm with so many pigs. We have been wanting to sit down with them and help them re-light a fire to get to the temple. When we got to the farm they came up to the fence and told us they were sorry they couldn't meet, they had to go to a big family party and they were in charge of the food. A little bummed out, we said okay, but then they said 'we'll show you!' They brought us to the backside of their home and there was this absolutely massive skinned pig hanging from a tree! We got a sweet picture, and then let them get to work getting all the meat. So it didn't turn out how we wanted it, but they weren't lying when they said they were busy preparing food. I guess it just wasn't dinner rolls like I was thinking;).
Kinda on a lame note, we were involved in a little fender bender accident this last week. Thought I would be able to get through a car area without any dings but accidents happened and this lady just didn't see our car in the parking lot. A blessing no one was hurt. There was a ton of paperwork though.
A highlight of the week was the First Presidency Christmas devotional! You definitely got to watch it if you haven't already. I wanted to share a scripture that was used in it...
The Book of Mormon
Moroni 10:18
18 And I would exhort you, my beloved brethren, that ye remember that every good gift cometh of Christ.
So much to be thankful for during the holidays! Have a great week!
