♦ Elder Miller week 70 (12/18/23)

 Bon siman na tur!

We had a pretty awesome week here, met a ton of great people and families! Hope the holidays are coming to you all well!

Got to be a part of a neat beach baptism this past weekend! Her name is Arlene and her family will be a blessing to the branch down south. Pretty special to see the joy on her face when she came out of the water. That is lasting happiness and Im so pumped for her.

I learned a new spanish word this week! Avispa! That means wasp, and they are ruthless. While we were walking a street looking for people to talk to this past week I found this sweet abandoned pickup in a field that I wanted a picture in. I made my way over to it and climbed through the side avoiding rust and glass. I sat down in the cab and my comp took a picture back by the street. I noticed a wasp or two fly by my head and didn't think twice about it. Once the picture was taken I looked down and hanging off the dashboard was this massive nest with wasps all over. As soon as I saw it I felt the stings and bailed out so fast. They got me four times in my arm but I was grateful our next lesson was with a member family that had some  ointment to stop pain and swelling. Brutal, but that one is on me for not being aware. Anyway, there is the story and I wanted you to know the ends I go to for some of these pictures🤙just kidding. Lamest part was you cant really tell in the picture that Im inside the truck but I'll add it so you can see.

As I was studying in The Book of Mormon this week, a verse made me grateful...
3 Nephi 18:21
21 Pray in your families unto the Father, always in my name, that your wives and your children may be blessed.

Family prayer is powerful! It literally changes homes where we teach. I know life gets crazy and sometimes it seems like everyone is never home at the same time, but I invite everyone to recommit or continue im family prayer. I promise the spirit will reside more obviously in your home as you do!

Have a great week! Thank you for your emails and support!
