THE GUYANA TRANSFER
Good morning, Elders. I hope you’re all excited about the opportunity to serve a portion of your mission
in Guyana. I feel like the Lord needs you and wants you there. Here are a few instructions for
immigration when you get there.
1. On the flight from Trinidad to Guyana, you’ll be given an immigration form to fill out. Most of
the information is obvious. Use your address in the US for your home address. Use the
following address for where you are staying in Guyana:
77 Garnett Street, Georgetown.
Check apartment for where you will be staying. Don’t check a purpose for your visit, as that will
be evident with your visa.
2. Once you get to Guyana, you will get off the plane and go directly to immigration. When you get
to the officer, make sure you give him a hard copy of the visa that Sister Pedersen sent to you. It
is critical that they see that before they stamp your passport. Otherwise, they will stamp you as
a tourist and we can’t get your work permit. That means you need to print it out before you
leave tomorrow.
3. After you get through immigration, pick up your bags, go through the line that says, “nothing to
declare” and go outside the airport. Either the ZL’s or AP’s will be there to pick you up.
Let me know if you have questions. Safe travels.
