♦ Elder Miller week 100 (7/15/24)

Bon dia rumanan!

We had a good week here with some sprinkling of rain every once in a while which is always a big blessing!

The work is moving along. This weekend I get to be a part of the baptism of a friend I taught about 8 months ago. That'll be a highlight of the coming week.

One morning we got to go on a little fishing trip with a Venezuelan friend of ours to the local fishing spots on the island and it was way fun. Didn't catch as many as we wanted but had a good time and the catch of the day was a Ka i' morto "trunkfish". Crazy looking thing but our friend held on to it because he was convinced it had good meat. To finish off our adventure we went back to his place to have a fish fry. There wasn't enough trunkfish to go around so he fried up all our leftover bait too. It was thawed squid and sardines, which made me pretty nervous but we weren't going to turn him down so we gulped it down.

In commemoration of President Russell M. Nelson's upcoming birthday, I want to echo his invitation to each of us in ministering to the one...

3 Nephi 17:21
21 And when he had said these words, he wept, and the multitude bare record of it, and he took their little children, one by one, and blessed them, and prayed unto the Father for them.

The Prophet has encouraged us to "spread the love of Jesus Christ throughout the world"...
He invited us to consider:
"Who do you know who may be discouraged? Who might you need to reconcile with or ask for forgiveness? Has one name been on your mind lately, though you haven’t quite known why?

He then promised us that as we take these names prayerfully to the Lord, He will inspire us to know how to help and reach out to the one. I know that as we follow through with this invitation from the Prophet, we will discover true joy!

Have another really great week! Go find the one!
