♦ Elder Miller week 98 (7/1/24)

 Bon tardi atrobe!

This past week went really well! We have an awesome friend named Nayla that we are teaching and she is working towards a baptism at the end of the month!

One day this last week we set apart 4-hours to go about finding people to teach in a new and old-school way! We found a complex of government 3-story apartment buildings and decided to knock on every door. When we finished it ended up being 11 buildings and 143 doors! We were beat by the end but found some really cool people we will start teaching and got a taste of what missionary work might be like in big cities! Pretty fun.

Aruba is heating up! Like it has been so hot lately. Thankfully there are people we run into that are kind to give us water as we go.

Had some hard goodbyes with the Lamprechts finishing their mission. They have been everything I have needed as mission leaders. Sad to see them go but excited for the Van Gils to come in and keep things rolling.

Here's a scripture that impacted me this week, I hope it will for you too...
2 Nephi 32:3
3...Wherefore, I said unto you, feast upon the words of Christ; for behold, the words of Christ will tell you all things what ye should do.

The Prophet, President Russell M. Nelson has pleaded with us to make time for studying the words of Christ. "If you truly love your family and if you desire to be exalted with them throughout eternity, pay the price now—through serious study and fervent prayer—to know these eternal truths and then to abide by them". It really is that important! I invite you to recommit with me in not only being better about reading the scriptures, but truly feast upon them! It'll be one of the highlights of your day, I promise.

Have a great week and happy Independence Day! We are so blessed!
