♦ Elder Miller week 11 (10-31-22)

Bon Siman Tur!

I hope this week has been great for all of you! It has been a good week here in Aruba. The work is slow but I think it'll pick up here in the near future. Crazy October is almost over! It seems like it's only getting hotter here, and the palms and cacti aren't changing colors like I want them to. But the rain has slowed, which means more lessons and less people bailing on us, hahaha.

Bike: 1 Me: 0; Oh boy, I debated putting this in here, because I don't want anyone thinking I can't ride a bike. But ya, I got wrecked off my bike this week. Coming around a corner on a tight street with a telephone pole that decided to be right in the middle of the sidewalk. My front tire cleared and I thought I had missed it, until the next second my handlebar caught the pole and spun my wheel, which ended up booting me off the bike and into the gravel. I also decided to try and catch myself with my hands which was not the best idea. So a lot of epsom salt soaks and wraps this week for me. There was a lady by my crash scene who was working at a bar next door who was so kind to help me get cleaned up. We are gonna stop by again this week and thank her for the help and ask her about her faith. Because she was my Good Samaritan this week. So maybe I just needed to fall in order to meet this new friend, but I'll keep you updated:).

I had another fun exchange on the south side of the island this week. Got to drive by the water a couple of times which was way cool. I have run into a ton of animals this week who aren't too shy.

I have been so blessed to be a part of so many little tender mercies from God this week. At first they were hard to catch, but I've tried to be more aware of them this week, and they are everywhere. God's hand is in every little detail.

Happy Halloween! If the missionaries come by tonight, make sure you give them extra candy for me. Also go BSU this weekend! Go put the hammer down on the Cougs!

I can not tell you all enough how much your support and prayers mean to me. I feel the love for sure.

I love this scripture in 2 Nephi 2:
"24 But behold, all things have been made according to the wisdom of him who knows everything."

The Lord knows the outcome, for you, for your trials, and your hopes. Trust in Him, because he wants what is best for you. Find peace in that!

Lots of love from Aruba!
