♦ Elder Miller week 36 (4-24-23)

Bon tardi! Kon ta?

Hope this last week was way good for all of you! I had a great week and it ended with some transfer news! I will be staying in Bonaire but my comp is headed back to Aruba. I am bummed cause he is a stud, but the comp I am about to get is so sweet. His name is Elder Olsen and we spent some time together in the same district in Aruba. So it will be a blast this transfer for sure!

We met some new friends this week! Some of them were the parents of a sweet Dominican family we are teaching. It was so fun to have them sit in too! Now we are teaching the whole family, and that is the most fun (and best for sure) way to teach as a missionary. There is a special spirit when we are at those lessons.

Got to go to a youth Home-run Derby at a community field this past weekend. There was a member who was playing but his family couldn't come so we got to be his cheer squad and it was so hype! I was super glad we could go support him. I love the members here!

I got a fun phone call this week too from the Elders in my old area back in Aruba. They said Rubenita who was a friend found back in my first transfer had a lesson with the Elders and told them she needed to be baptized after reading from the Book of Mormon. It was a miracle and I am so excited to zoom into that baptism this weekend. It'll be a highlight of the week for sure!

I was studying in the Book of Mormon this past week and came to a verse that I love. I might have shared it before but it is a keeper!
3 Nephi 22
10 For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.

I have a testimony of this scripture! There have been so many times on my mission so far where I have felt the Lord guiding my steps and Him right on the bike next to me. I know He is there for you, and that the second you ask for His help He'll come running.

Have a great week! I hope the weather is nice! It's pretty hot here.
