♦ Elder Miller week 62 (10-23-23)

 Bon tardi!

Another week in the books! Hope you all had some fun this past week!

We were blessed with a bunch of members feeding us last week. Makes it so easy on us, and most of the time I can count on some rice, chicken, and Coca-Cola being part of it, but tried something a little different last Sunday. Guinea Pig! Tasted like some fancy sausage, and it's another thing to add to the crazy foods tried list.

Our car had to go into the shop for some work done, so we got a little bit of bike time which was fun. I just feel like a classic missionary when I am on the bike. The car isn't too bad though!

Funny story, we decided to try out some fishing (more like line with a hook and some bread in the water) today for pday. We didn't find too much success but next week we are going to try chicken bait instead. Anyway a man drove by and rolled down his window. Seeing my tie and white shirt he said, "sir, you are a fisher of men not of fish". I told him I was trying my luck with fish today. But with no catch I better take his advice and stick to men I guess. This old Arubiano man cracked me up though.

There is a verse in The Book of Mormon that I'd love to share with you all. It's in the Book of Helaman....
5:30
30 And it came to pass when they heard this voice, and beheld that it was not a voice of thunder, neither was it a voice of a great tumultuous noise, but behold, it was a still voice of perfect mildness, as if it had been a whisper, and it did pierce even to the very soul.

How do you feel the spirit of God in your life? I'm so grateful that out here on my mission I have learned better how the Holy Ghost whispers to me. It comes to each of us differently as we live worthy of it. I want to invite each of us to take time this coming week and evaluate how often the Holy Ghost is your companion in your day. As we do this, I promise we will each find ways we can invite it more constantly in our lives!

Pasa bon siman! Thanks for all the prayers and support!
