♦ Elder Miller week 65 (11-13-23)
Bon siman!
What's going on? New week already here...
This week was all over the place for me. At the start I had to say goodbye to the senior missionaries, the Packards. It was hard to see them go, they were here when I started and have done so much for this island. I am happy for them though, they did exactly what was needed of them and so much more.
About a week ago I found out that I needed to go on an extended exchange to Curacaó because of immigration laws and needing to reset my time on Aruba. At the beginning of the week, an Elder who was supposed to swap with me for the few days landed in Aruba and was officially denied entry into the country and went back to Curacaó on the next plane. I made it to Curacaó but my whole time there I was super anxious about trying to get back into Aruba. The Elder who couldn't enter and I have about the same amount of time there so it wasn't looking good. However after the craziness earlier in the week, the mission office was on top of it and got a lawyer involved for when I was going back. It was a long process but I was able to get back to Aruba and now am filing for an extension to stay through the year. So a little messy, but it worked out and there must be some things I need to get done here with this extra time I've been given. Nuts though.
While in the scriptures this week I came across this verse in the Book of Alma that I wanted to share with you...
Alma 6:6
Nevertheless the children of God were commanded that they should gather themselves together oft, and join in fasting and mighty prayer in behalf of the welfare of the souls of those who knew not God.
I am so grateful for all of your prayers for me and missionaries across the world! They lift me up! A few years back the prophet invited us to pray to find those who would let God prevail in their lives. Those prayers are so important, and I know we each have people in our lives who could be and should be learning about the gospel! Along with our dear prophet I invite you to pray for them!
Thanks for always reading these! Fun to be able to share it with you all!
