♦ Elder Miller week 67 (11/27/23)

 Bon tardi!

First week of the new transfer in the books! Had a lot of fun with my new comp, he is from eastern Idaho too which is pretty fun. We've probably played against each other in summer basketball at some point. Now we are companions here in Aruba. Small world.

Besides quite a few service projects we have found some new people to teach that are really awesome. Finding new people means we are teaching the Restoration of the Church pretty often. I love being able to teach it. No matter the language it is always powerful and strengthens my testimony.

Last year Thanksgiving fell on a zone conference day so we all ate a legit turkey dinner together as missionaries. This year we went to an awesome member family who fed us a nice fried rice dinner (Didn't even need turkey this year to feel stuffed!). We also helped them decorate their Christmas tree.Ill throw in a pic; It is upside down because they were tired of their little kids picking off any reachable ornament. Pretty funny, maybe you should try it!

In my study of the Book of Mormon this last week I ran into this verse...
Alma 37:46
46 O my son, do not let us be slothful because of the easiness of the way; for so was it with our fathers; for so was it prepared for them, that if they would look they might live; even so it is with us. The way is prepared, and if we will look we may live forever.

Maybe I've shared this one before but it is so applicable. The gospel blesses my life, and I know each of your lives in many ways. It is so easy to go through the motions and forget what the Lord has prepared for us. I think it starts with a daily focus of repentance and intention in our lives!

Have a great week! Thanksgiving this last week made me realize how grateful I am for each of you and this experience I am having!
