Favorite moments:

-Baptisms on the beach

-Bonaire rec-center basketball

-Curacao Elders Quorum activities

-Aruba finances with Elder Packard

 

Bumps in the road:

-3/4 friends that were on date in Curaçao (Louis, Osmaila, Franklin)

-Scars in Aruba and Curaçao, stitches in Bonaire

-The Werleman family in Aruba. So close:(

 

Made it happen:

-Aruba finances (no problems)

-Blackout year as a missionary

-Baptisms of 7 friends (Mackenley, Joanne, Rubenita, 

James, Kevin, Tito, Anthony)

 

Lessons learned:

-On my own I am nothing.

-Discipleship invovles getting outside of comfort zones and conveniences.

-The ABC islands are filled with the best people.

-Finding is one of the biggest parts of missionary work. Gotta be willing to talk to people.

 

Places visited:

-Aruba

-Bonaire

-Curaçao

 

How can I make 2024 better:

-Continue to lose myself in the work.

-Come home having changed every needful thing. Finish this thing strong.

-Grind and lock in on college. Nuts.

-Go to the temple. Lets gooo!

 continuing  1/1/23 Response page 103   Jan 1 st Glad you got a fireworks show.  I had brought a bunch of glow in the dark stuff to McCall for the big ring in the new year and totally spaced getting it out- maybe I’ll save it for fourth of July Fasting anytime is hard but on a mission I bet it is especially hard because you can’ t nap away part of it- but where there’s an increase of faith there’s an increase of blessings and I hope you felt good after your day of fasting to consecrate this new year…. Home MTC ☒    Provo MTC ☒    Complete first transfer with companion ☒   Board plane for mission ☒       You’ve been so ready for today, preparing for these 6 mtc weeks, preparing since primary, preparing since before the world was… the Lord needs you now exactly where he’s sending you.   It is amazing to think of the light you’ll share and how it will change people forever—what a ripple effect—it’s so awesome.
