Bon dia tur!Crazy it's November! I wish palm trees and cacti turned orange around this time of the year! Hoping last week was great for each of you!
We were able to do a lot of service this past week. We are getting close to opening up a new chapel on the south end of the island and it called for all the missionaries cleaning up the outside. Lots of 'chopi'. Then earlier in the week this sweet Jamaican lady trusted us with painting her ceilings. Thankful that the texture on the walls was forgiving, I'm not terrible, but we are far from the real deal of painting pros.
On the way to a lesson the other day there were some little guys out on the street throwing a baseball around and I got to play catch with them for a sec. It was way fun and I wish everyone we interact with were like the kids here in Aruba, always excited to have anyone come play. One of those little dudes had an arm. Calling it...MLB bound.
Our mission is revamping pass along cards.(a simple card with church name, our #, and the church address with hours) We have lots of them and we are being instructed to use them more, so I'll have to let you know if we have any record breaking days this week.
This week a verse in the Book of Mormon really impacted me that I want to share with you...
Bonus: It talks about Thanksgiving!...kinda
Alma 26:37
37 Now my brethren, we see that God is mindful of every people, whatsoever land they may be in; yea, he numbereth his people, and his bowels of mercy are over all the earth. Now this is my joy, and my great thanksgiving; yea, and I will give thanks unto my God forever. Amen.
I have such a testimony of this. God knows each of His children. Even here in the middle of the sea, He is so aware of every soul. Countless times I've been blessed on my mission to feel His love for them. Our Heavenly Father has all power and all understanding (verse 35) yet, He is so very concerned about the one. He knows YOU by name! Never forget it!
Have a great week! Love you all, your support means so much to me! Elder Miller
