♦Elder Miller week 77 (2-5-24)

Bon siman!
Happy Febrüari! That's nuts! But I hope you are all doing well and that the new month is bringing fun new things!
This week we tried hard with our friends here but we are in Carnaval season and it led to so many cancelled lessons. So many. But it has given us plenty of time to go finding new people to teach and we are running into some amazing new friends.
Okay, I'll add a picture of it, but one of my all time favorite foods I have had on my mission are 'patacones'. It's Venezuelan I think but they put an Arubiano twist on it for sure. It's like a burger with fried mashed plantains for a bun and so many meats, cheeses and sauces inside. Oh yeah, it's legit. The thing is that it is way heavy. Just a half will always tie me over. So if you can find any latino food trucks where you are at, ask for the patacone!
As I was reading in the Book of Mormon this past week I found a verse I wanted to share with you all...
3 Nephi 17:3
3 Therefore, go ye unto your homes, and ponder upon the things which I have said, and ask of the Father, in my name, that ye may understand, and prepare your minds for the morrow, and I come unto you again.
I love in this scripture how the Savior directs us to not only listen to His words but to 'ponder' them. When we take time to ponder the scriptures and words of living Prophets and Apostles we are changing our hearts and minds. As we prioritize gospel learning we grow our ability to receive personal revelation and be better prepared against the whirlwinds of our day.
Love you all!
