♦Elder Miller week 78 (2/12/24)

 Bon tardi! 🇬🇾

Todu bem? Hope all is good with each of you. Got some pretty crazy news at the finish of this past week...

Transfers are here and my time in Aruba has come to an end but this time I won't be island hopping. I am catching a flight to Guyana! If you haven't ever heard of it that's okay, low key sounds like Africa. It's a country on the coast of South America right above Brazil. I honestly don't know too much about it besides 75% of it is covered in the Amazon jungle and I'll be serving in a coastal town close to the capital of Georgetown. It also means I'll be sharing the gospel in english which is fun in some ways but makes me sad I won't be able to use the other languages I have learned. (Although I'll be serving with a new missionary from Costa Rica, so I'll get to keep working on my español!)

It's a whole different world down there but I am excited to start this next chapter of my mission in a totally new culture. I'm going to be in for a lot of change but it'll be good for me.

I'm going to miss these islands so much though. Like legit it'll make me so sad to leave. These people are family to me and I have grown to love it all so much. I don't know if I will get to come back on my mission, we'll see, but this place is home for sure.

Also there was a pretty neat video (worth the 4 min watch, I promise) made from when Elder Soares of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles came to Aruba and Bonaire just a little bit ago--

I know this is getting long so I'll keep my scripture thought short...

1 John 4:19

19 We love him, because he first loved us.

If you ever feel small or forgotten, remember the price Jesus Christ paid for you to know how special and wanted you are!
